You recognise a song before the singer starts, remember the album cover and always have a favourite track ready to recommend. A music quiz sounds like a good way to settle a friendly debate. But first, you need to find it in the app.
This guide explains where to look and how to investigate a missing option without immediately blaming your phone or broadband. Start with access and account checks; investigate connection problems when other symptoms point that way.
Who can use Spotify Music Quiz in India?
Spotify's 6 October 2026 announcement includes India in a gradual Music Quiz rollout for Premium listeners aged 18+. Selected artists have English quizzes covering trivia, artwork and audio recognition. Availability can differ between accounts and artists.
The announcement gives no date when every eligible Indian listener will receive access. Our recommendation: do not buy a subscription solely on the assumption that this feature will appear immediately.
How to find and play the quiz
Play a participating artist's track in the updated Spotify app, scroll through Now Playing and tap the Music Quiz card. Complete the questions to see your score, which you can share.
If you usually stay on a playlist screen, Spotify's Now Playing guide explains the mobile navigation: tap the playback area just above the menu bar to expand it. This is a different screen from a search-results list or your saved playlists.
For a casual evening with friends, choose music you all know and agree whether to discuss answers or attempt them independently. That is a suggested way to enjoy music trivia together, not a claim that the app provides a live multiplayer room.
Update the app through its official store
On Android, open Google Play, find Spotify and use Update if offered. On iPhone, open the App Store, tap your account image and check Spotify's available update. Spotify's update instructions cover both platforms.
Let the update finish, then reopen the app. Avoid installing an unfamiliar package advertised as a special quiz version. Record what you actually see: an absent card, a loading screen and an error message are different observations. That detail will help if you need support later.
Confirm which account holds your subscription
Before paying again, check your current account. Spotify's plan-details guide directs users to Manage your plan online, or to their profile picture, Settings and privacy, Account and Billing in the app.
If you have paid but the account does not show the expected benefits, follow Spotify's Premium troubleshooting guidance. It recommends checking login details because the subscription may belong to another account. Signing out and back in can also refresh the connection between the device and account.
For example, someone might use an email login on one device and a different sign-in method on another. Check the account details before concluding that the payment failed. Keep receipts and payment information private, and use official support for unresolved billing questions.
Separate a missing option from a connection failure
A missing card alone is not enough evidence to diagnose slow internet. Check whether ordinary music playback and unrelated websites work. If several online tasks fail, investigate the connection as well.
Spotify's offline troubleshooting guide recommends checking Offline mode and testing other apps or webpages. On mobile, look under your profile picture, Settings and privacy, then Data-saving and offline. Turn Offline mode off when checking online access.
You can briefly compare a trusted Wi-Fi connection with mobile data, allowing for your data allowance. Note whether the same task works on one connection and fails on the other. This is a diagnostic clue, not proof of a particular provider fault. School or office networks may also restrict services; ask the administrator if needed.
If Spotify itself freezes or will not play
For broader app errors, start by restarting Spotify and checking for updates. The official playback troubleshooting page also suggests checking device software and known service issues.
Reinstallation is an available repair step, but Spotify warns that downloaded music and podcasts must then be downloaded again. Consider that inconvenience before removing an app that otherwise works normally. Repairing an app problem and requesting access to a feature are different support tasks.
A useful support note includes your phone model, operating system, app version, the exact error and what you tried. Describe when the issue occurs. Remove personal details from screenshots and avoid posting account or billing information publicly.
Keep mobile-data use in mind
For everyday listening, Spotify's data-usage guide explains that higher audio quality uses more data. Its Data Saver setting reduces image loading and audio quality. Review these settings if you regularly listen away from home.
If you download music, check whether downloads over cellular are enabled. Choosing Wi-Fi for larger downloads can help preserve a limited mobile allowance. These are general listening controls, not a measured data estimate for an individual quiz.
When to review your home broadband
If calls, browsing and streaming repeatedly struggle across devices, record the times and affected rooms. Our WiFi analyzer versus speed test guide explains which checks can help investigate wider performance problems.
If your household needs a different connection, Compare Plans in Your Area through InternetWale. Review total charges, data limits, router terms and provider support alongside speed. InternetWale helps customers discover and compare broadband providers; it does not supply connectivity. Confirm exact-address availability and final terms with the selected provider.
